Bowdoin Wins Inaugural Field Hockey Championship
BRUNSWICK, Maine – Top-seeded Bowdoin defeated third-seeded Williams 2-0 on Sunday in the final of the 2000 NESCAC Field Hockey Championship.
Sophomore forward Leah McClure scored one goal and assisted on another goal, and Jill McDonald made five saves to record her eighth shutout of the season. The Polar Bears captured the first NESCAC title in field hockey and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
