February 25, 2002
Steve Zieja, Amherst
(Junior, Forward - Hadley, Mass.)
Junior tri-captain forward Steve Zieja averaged 25.0 points and
6.7 rebounds in a NESCAC tournament wins over Bowdoin, Williams,
and Trinity. He scored 32 points, including 21 in the first half,
as Amherst clinched its third consecutive NCAA tournament bid with
an 85-78 win over top-seeded host Trinity.
February 18, 2002
Colin Tabb, Trinity
(Senior, Guard/Forward - Somers, Conn.)
Tabb averaged a double-double (25.0 points and 10.0 rebounds), 6.0
assists, and 2.0 steals per game as Trinity posted wins over Colby
and Bowdoin to clinch the top seed for the NESCAC tournament. Tabb
scored 32 points in an 82-57 win over Bowdoin. In the two games, he
hit 50 percent from the field (17-for-34) and 86 percent from the
line (12-for-14).
February 11, 2002
Damien Strahorn, Colby
(Senior, Forward - Menlo Park, Calif.)
Strahorn scored 43 points, hitting 15 of 20 shots from the field
and five of eight from 3-point range as Colby defeated host Bowdoin
78-68. He added four rebounds and five assists in the victory. He
scored 31 points with five assists, four rebounds, and two steals
in a three-point loss to UMaine-Farmington.
February 4, 2002
Tim Folan, Williams
(Junior, Forward - Kensington, Md.)
Folan averaged 22.5 points and hit 11 of 18 three-pointers in
conference wins over Wesleyan and Connecticut College. He scored 23
points in a 71-66 win over the Cardinals and 22 points in a 72-62
victory over the Camels. For the week, he averaged 18.3 points in
three Williams wins.
January 28, 2002
Braden Clement, Bowdoin
(Junior, Guard - Skowhegan, Maine)
Clement averaged 19.5 points in two NESCAC wins as the Polar Bears
moved into a tie for first place. He scored 24 points, grabbed
seven rebounds, and handed out five assists as Bowdoin handed
13th-ranked Williams its first conference loss, 84-54. He hit nine
of 12 shots from the field, including six of eight from 3-point
range. In a 76-71 win over Middlebury, Clement scored a game-high
15 points.
January 21, 2002
Colin Tabb, Trinity
(Senior, Forward - Somers, Conn.)
Tabb averaged 27.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game
in a 2-1 week for Trinity. He shot 50 percent from the field
(23-for-46), 53 percent from three-point range (9-of-17), and 90
percent from the line (27-for-30). He scored a season-high 32
points in a 75-62 win over Southern Vermont, 29 points against
Williams, and 21 points in a 79-65 win at Middlebury.
January 14, 2002
John Donovan, Amherst
(Sophomore, Guard - Holmdel, N.J.)
Donovan scored a career-high 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting as the
21st ranked Jeffs downed previously undefeated and 10th ranked
Williams. Donovan scored nine points on 4-for-4 shooting as Amherst
opened the game on a 19-4 run. He scored 11 points in an 86-62 win
over Colby-Sawyer, which boasts five wins against NESCAC teams this
season.

Drew DeMuth, Williams
(Junior, Center - Carlisle, Pa.)
DeMuth averaged 23.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game in a 3-0
week for Williams. He scored a career-high 34 points and grabbed 10
rebounds in an 85-58 win at Averett University.
December 10, 2001
Leo Jones, Wesleyan
(Senior, Guard - Englewood, N.J.)
Jones averaged 30.5 points per game while shooting 75 percent from
the field and 75 percent from three-point range. He scored 30
points, hitting 10 of 17 field goals and eight of 11 free throws,
in a 86-78 win over Suffolk. He hit 2-of-4 from three-point range,
and added seven rebounds. He scored 31 points and handed out eight
assists in a 98-64 victory at Albertus Magnus. He made 13 of 14
field goals, hitting all four of his 3-point attempts, and added
two steals. Wesleyan is 8-1, its best start since the 1990-91 team
opened the season 9-1.
December 3, 2001
Kanem Johnson - Wesleyan
(Sophomore, Center - New Haven, Conn.)
Johnson averaged 25.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per
game as Wesleyan won three of four games. He shot 72 percent from
the field, hitting 41 of 57 field goals. Johnson scored a
career-high 31 points on 13-of-17 shooting from the floor in a
102-87 win over Eastern Connecticut State. He scored 21 points on
8-of-11 shooting in a 97-82 victory over Western New England.
Johnson earned all-tournament honors at Colby, averaging 24 points
in two games, shooting 69 percent from the floor.
November 26, 2001
Tim Folan, Williams
(Junior, Forward - Kensington, Md.)
Folan scored a career-high 41 points, hitting nine 3-pointers in
10 attempts, in an 86-68 win over Union. He hit six 3-pointers in a
row and also finished with a game-high seven rebounds.

Leo Jones, Wesleyan
(Senior, Guard - Englewood, N.J.)
Jones earned Most Valuable Player honors at the UMaine-Farmington
Tip-Off Tournament, averaging 30.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.5
assists, and 3.5 steals in two games. He shot 64 percent from the
field (25-for-39), 50 percent from three-point range (4-for-8) and
100 percent from the free throw line (7-for-7). Wesleyan recorded a
105-72 win over University of New England and an 83-54 victory over
Maine-Maritime.
