February 24, 2003
Keala Mills, Wesleyan
(Junior, Guard - Lenox, Mass.)
Keala Mills of Wesleyan had the finest game by a Cardinal this year
scoring 39 points, 28 of those in the second half as Wesleyan held
off Trinity's comeback bid to advance in the NESCAC Tournament
88-76. Mills connected on 13 of 18 field goals, including four of
five three-pointers and went 9-for-10 at the line. He added three
rebounds and three assists.
February 17, 2003
Kyle Petrie, Bowdoin
(Freshman, Forward - Iowa City, Iowa)
The first-year forward closed out the season with a flourish in a
2-0 week for Bowdoin. On Wednesday, Petrie posted a double-double
(21 points, 13 boards) to go along with five assists and two blocks
in a win at Maine-Farmington. The Polar Bears then dropped Colby to
clinch the eighth seed in the NESCAC Tournament thanks to Petrie's
20 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and two steals in the 86-61
road victory. For the week, he averaged 20.5 points, 11.5 rebounds
and six assists.
February 10, 2003
Mike McGlynn, Tufts
(Senior, Guard - Medford, Mass.)
McGlynn averaged 19.3 points per game in a 2-1 week for the Jumbos.
In Saturday's 89-71 win over Colby, he surpassed 300 three-pointers
for his career. He is on the verge of entering the NCAA Div. III
all-time top 20 for threes in a career. Tufts took sole possession
of third place in the league with the win. McGlynn had 16 points,
six rebounds and four threes in a win over Bowdoin on Friday
night.He drained 43.3 percent of his shots from behind the arc
(13/30) in three games during the week.

Nate Anderson, Middlebury
(Junior, Forward - Hinesbury, Vt.)
Anderson averaged 22.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game
as Middlebury won three games, including a pair of NESCAC contests.
He shot 25 of 53 (.471) from the floor and 8 of 11 (.727) from
behind the arc. The junior grabbed 10 rebounds and netted a
career-high 34 points including the game-winner in with four
seconds remaining in the team's 82-80 win over Bowdoin.
January 27, 2003
Kanem Johnson, Wesleyan
(Junior, Forward - New Haven ,Conn.)
The league’s leading scorer, Johnson had game-highs in both
Wesleyan wins, netting 25 in a two-point victory over Colby and 26
in a win at Bowdoin. The junior shot 74.1 % from the floor (20-27)
and averaged 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists. Johnson scored the
1,000th point of his career this weekend becoming the 14th male
Wesleyan player to do so, the fastest in Cardinal history to reach
the milestone.
January 20, 2003
C.J. Neely, Bates
(Senior, Forward - North Easton, Mass.)
Neely averaged 24.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game to lead Bates
to a 3-0 week. He scored a career-high 43 points, grabbed 11 boards
and hit the game-winning trey as time expired in the second
overtime in Bates' 98-95 win over Colby-Sawyer. He scored 20
points, grabbed six boards and dished out four assists to lead
Bates to a 89-79 win at Connecticut College.
January 13, 2003
Kevin Crosman, Colby
(Senior, Forward - Bath, Maine)
Crosman averaged 17.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0
steals in Colby's 2-1 week. The senior forward had 22 points, 12a
rebounds and three assists as Colby took a 63-55 victory over Bates
College, which came into the game at 9-1. He also had 10 points,
nine rebounds and three assists in a 80-76 win against
Maine-Farmington and added 21 points, eight rebounds and three
steals in a tight 69-66 loss to Southern Maine.
January 6, 2003
Ryan Uszenski, Trinity
(Senior, Forward - Woodbridge, N.J.)
Uszenski scored a team-high 20 points, making nine out of 11 shots
from the field, with seven rebounds and three steals in an 85-80
win at Ursinus.
December 16, 2002
John Halas, Trinity
(Sophomore, Guard - White Plains, N.Y.)
Halas made eight out of 11 shots from the field, including three
three-pointers, to lead in Trinity in scoring with 21 points in a
94-64 win against Coast Guard. Halas also had seven rebounds and
five assists in the game.

Pat Fitzsimons, Amherst
(Senior, Center - Durham, N.C.)
The tri-captain posted a trio of double-doubles in a 3-0 week for
12th ranked Amherst, including a career-high 27-point outing, to go
along with a game-high 13 rebounds, in a 100-63 win over Westfield
State on Saturday. His 27 points came on 12-for-15 shooting,
improving his team-leading field goal percentage to .681. In a
68-62 defeat of Clark on Tuesday, the senior center was one block
away from a triple double scoring 11 points with 15 rebounds and
nine blocks. For the week Fitzsimons averaged 17.6 points, 13.3
rebounds and 6.3 blocks per game.
December 2, 2002
Angelo Salvaggio, Bates
(Senior, Guard - Portland, Maine)
Salvaggio notched a triple-double in Bates’ 110-77 win over
Southern Maine. The senior guard poured in 36 points, including 6
of 9 from three point range, grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out 11
assists in only 29 minutes of action.
Keala Mills, Wesleyan
(Junior, Guard - Lenox, Mass.)
Mills dropped 37 points on St. Joseph’s (Maine) and 31
against UMass Boston on his way to being named the MVP of the
Harbor Invitational. The junior began the week scoring 33 against
Western New England. In a 3-0 week for Wesleyan, Mills shot almost
65% from the floor and 57% from three point land.
November 25, 2002
Michael Crotty, Williams
(Junior, Guard - Belmont, Mass.)
Crotty averaged 17.5 points and 7.5 assists per game while shooting
70% from the field including seven of nine from three-point range
en route to earning MVP honors in the Williams Invitational. The
junior guard scored 16 points with nine assists as the Ephs
defeated Ithaca College 74-71 in the championship game.
