Middlebury's Bush, Amherst's Holland Nab NSCAA All-America Honors

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Seniors Brian Bush (Madison, Wis.) of Middlebury and Grayson Holland (Sudbury, Mass.) of Amherst both received All-America recognition from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) on Friday. Bush was named to the First Team, while Holland garnered Third Team honors. Both players earned All-America honors last year.

Bush, the 2008 NESCAC Player of the Year and an All-NESCAC First Team selection, finished his career at Middlebury with a 31-4-6 record over four seasons, the last two as the everyday starter in goal, and 26 shutouts, a new program record. During 2008, Bush posted a 15-2-4 record with a 0.37 goals against average and a .873 save percentage. An economics major at Middlebury, Bush is a two-time NESCAC All-Academic honoree and was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America District I team this fall.

Holland had All-Conference honors bestowed upon him for the third-straight year. In 22 games this season,  Holland had three goals and an assist for seven points while leading a defense that ranked second in the conference in goals against average (0.74), as the Lord Jeff defense surrendered only six goals over its 13 match unbeaten streak this season.
