Bates Names Cosquer Head Coach of Men's & Women's Squash
LEWISTON, Maine - Bates College on Tuesday announced the appointment of Pat Cosquer as head coach of the Bobcats' men's and women's squash teams. Cosquer, a 1997 Bates graduate, most recently served as director of squash programs at StreetSquash in Harlem, N.Y., an after-school enrichment program which combines academic tutoring, community service, mentoring and college preparation with squash instruction.

Inaugural Men's Squash All-Conference Team Announced
HADLEY, Mass. - Trinity College sophomore Baset Chaudhry (Lahore, Pakistan) has been named the 2008 NESCAC Men’s Squash Player of the Year, while freshman teammate Andres Vargas Heredina (Bogota, Columbia) was named the Rookie of the Year, as determined by the conference coaches. The pair were a part of a Bantam squad that cruised to the 2008 NESCAC Men’s Squash title earlier this month, the second NESCAC crown in a row for Trinity.

First-Ever Women's Squash All-Conference Team Named
HADLEY, Mass. - Trinity College senior Lauren Polonich (Calgary, Alberta) has been named the 2008 NESCAC Women’s Squash Player of the Year, while sophomore teammate Nayelly Hernandez (San Luis Potosi, Mexio) was named the Rookie of the Year, as determined by the conference coaches. The two helped their Bantam squad capture the 2008 NESCAC Women’s Squash Championship on Feb. 3, the second NESCAC title in as many years for Trinity.

Trinity Men's Squash Wins 2008 CSA National Championship
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore Baset Chaudhry (Lahore, Pakistan) dominated the No. 1 match against the nation’s top-ranked player with a 3-0 victory to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 8-1 win over the Princeton University Tigers in the College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championship (Potter Trophy) Finals this afternoon at Harvard University. Trinity, ranked No. 1 in the nation, earns its 10th consecutive intercollegiate national championship crown and extends the nation’s longest intercollegiate winning streak in any sport to 183 matches in a row.

Trinity Wins 2008 NESCAC Men's Squash Championship
HARTFORD, Conn. - Trinity successfully defended its NESCAC Men's Squash title on Sunday by upending Williams 9-0 to earn the 2008 NESCAC Men's Squash Championship, hosted by Trinity at the George A. Kellner Squash Center. The victory capped a perfect weekend for the Bantams, who won each of their three matches by a 9-0 score en route to the championship. Sunday's win was the 100th consecutive home victory for Trinity and extended the nation's longest winning streak in any sport to 179 games.
