Amherst Earns Date in NCAA Women's Basketball Semifinals with 80-65 Victory
AMHERST, Mass. The Amherst College womens basketball team punched its ticket to the national semifinals Saturday evening with an 80-65 win over Babson College in the sectional finals at LeFrak Gymnasium. With the win, Amherst is heading back to the semifinals for the second straight season, and second time in program history.

Amherst Overcomes 15-Point Deficit to Down Williams, 71-66 in NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament
AMHERST, Mass. The Amherst College womens basketball team moved to within one game of returning to the NCAA semifinals for the second straight season after topping rival Williams College in the sectional semifinals this evening. Amherst erased a 12-point halftime deficit to pull out a record-setting 71-66 victory in front of a raucous crowd of 1,300 at LeFrak Gymnasium. The Lord Jeffs improved to 30-0 on the year, setting new program marks for wins in a season (30) and consecutive home wins (26).

Kean Holds Off Bowdoin in NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament
UNION, N.J. - The Kean University women's basketball team held off Bowdoin in the sectional semifinals of the NCAA Tournament on Friday evening, 62-51. The Polar Bears, who were making their first "Sweet Sixteen" appearance since 2007, end their campaign with a record of 22-7.

HADLEY, Mass. Tufts junior guard Colleen Hart (Needham, Mass.) was named NESCAC Player of the Week for March 8, 2010. Hart averaged 27.0 points per game for the Jumbos during a 1-1 showing over the opening weekend of the NCAA Tournament. She hit 19-of-37 attempts from the floor (.514), went 11-for-17 from beyond the arc (.647), and made 5-of-6 free throw attempts (.833).

Amherst Reaches NCAA Women's Basketball Sectionals with 76-49 Win
AMHERST, Mass. The Amherst College womens basketball team tied a program record for wins in a season Saturday afternoon, while also advancing to the Round of 16 in the 2010 NCAA Tournament with a 76-49 win over the University of Southern Maine. Amherst led 42-19 at the half, and held off any comeback attempts from the Huskies to cruise into the Sectionals next weekend.
