Amherst Earns 4-0 Victory Over Gustavus Adolphus in National Semifinals
ST. PETER, Minn. Amherst College is headed to its second-straight national championship game after a 4-0 semifinal victory over host Gustavus Adolphus College Friday evening in the NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Championship. The Lord Jeffs received strong goaltending from junior Caroline Hu (Cerritos, Calif.) in her NCAA championship debut. Amherst (22-2-4) will take on Norwich University (20-5-5) in St. Peter Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.

Four Women's Ice Hockey Players Garner AHCA All-America Honors
ST. PETER, Minn. A total of four NESCAC women's ice hockey players have earned American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-America honors, it was announced on Thursday. Trinity senior goaltender Isabel Iwachiw and Amherst junior defender Randi Zukas were chosen by the nation's coaches on the First Team, while Bantam junior blue liner Laura Komarek and Middlebury junior forward Anna McNally were selected as part of the Second Team.

Trinity's Iwachiw Wins Hurd Award as AHCA National Player of the Year
ST. PETER, Minn. Senior goaltender Isabel Iwachiw of Trinity College has been chosen by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) as the 2010 winner of the Laura Hurd Award, symbolic of the nation's best Division III women's ice hockey player. Iwachiw, a native of New York City, led her squad to a 21-5-2 season and Trinity's first NCAA Tournament appearance. The 21 wins was a school record.

HADLEY, Mass. Trinitys season came to a close on Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Elmira. The Bantams, making their first appearance in the national tournament, suffered a 2-1 setback to the Soaring Eagles. Amherst received a first round bye in the NCAA Tournament and will look to repeat as the national champion this weekend when the Jeffs take on host Gustavus Adolphus (22-4-2) in the semifinals.

Elmira Edges Trinity, 2-1, in NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Tournament
Pine Valley, N.Y. The Elmira womens ice hockey team earned a 2-1 victory over visiting Trinity College in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game was played very evenly as the shot total was 24 for the Soaring Eagles and 24 for the Bantams.
