2002 Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

May 6, 2002
Kristin Hanley, Middlebury
(Junior, Midfielder - Seattle, Wash)
Hanley scored seven goals and assisted on five others to lead Middlebury to its second consecutive NESCAC championship. She scored six goals and added two assists in a 20-9 semifinal win over Colby, and scored once with three assists in the 13-7 title game win over Amherst.

April 29, 2002
Ally King, Colby
(Junior, Attack - West Hartford, Conn.)
King scored four goals and added seven assists as Colby won two games and improved its winning streak to nine games. She scored the game-winner in an 11-7 victory over Bowdoin in the first round of the NESCAC tournament. Her seven assists gave her a school-record 67 career assists, bettering the previous mark of 60.

Beatrice Gratry, Trinity
(First-Year, Attack - Hunting Valley, Ohio)
Gratry scored 12 goals in three games, including a career-high seven goals in a 12-9 win over Wesleyan that clinched a NESCAC tournament berth for Trinity. She scored three of four Bantam goals against Bowdoin and tallied twice in a loss to Amherst.

April 22, 2002
Abby Ouimet, Amherst
(Junior, Attack - Hatfield, Mass.)
Ouimet finished with 18 points in a pair of conference wins for Amherst. She scored two goals and added three assists in a 9-8 road win over Bowdoin, and scored a game-high eight goals and added five assists in a 19-6 victory over Bates.

Char Glessner, Middlebury
(Junior, Midfielder - Ipswich, Mass.)
Glessner finished with 19 points in a pair of wins for top-ranked Middlebury. She scored five goals and added an assist in a 16-9 win over Trinity. She scored four times in a 17-3 win over Vermont.

April 15, 2002
Liz Martin, Amherst
(Sophomore, Midfielder - Baltimore, Md.)
Martin scored 16 goals in three wins for Amherst. She scored five goals in a 14-5 victory over Connecticut College, six goals in a 17-5 win at Wellesley, and five goals in a 14-8 win at Wesleyan.

April 8, 2002
Kathryn Doherty, Williams
(Junior, Midfielder - Weston, Mass.)
Doherty scored eight goals and added eight assists in three Williams wins, including an 11-8 victory over 17th-ranked and previously undefeated Bowdoin. She scored three goals, added one assist, and finished with five ground balls and four caused turnovers against the Polar Bears. Doherty finished with two goals, four assists, four ground balls, and five caused turnovers in an 11-6 victory over Tufts.

April 1, 2002
Elsbeth Pratt, Bowdoin
(Sophomore, Midfielder - Essex, Mass.)
Pratt scored 11 of 22 Bowdoin goals in two victories. She scored five goals in a 10-4 win over Connecticut College to keep the Polar Bears unbeaten. She also scored six goals in a 12-3 victory over Wheaton.

Kelly Jo Burnett, Trinity
(Senior, Goalkeeper - Pennington, N.J.)
Burnett yielded just 15 goals in three Trinity wins, including conference victories over Connecticut College and Tufts. She has made 50 saves in six games, allowing just 25 goals, posting a 4.92 goals against average and a .667 save percentage.
