LEXINGTON, Ky. – Tufts senior setter Dena Feiger (Long Grove, Ill.) has been selected by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as a member of the All-America Second Team. Feiger is the only NESCAC Player to earn All-America honors this season. With Feiger at the helm of the offense, the Jumbos will participate in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals this Thursday at John Carroll University for the first time ever.

Feiger, the 2009 NESCAC Player of the Year and the New England Women's Volleyball Association (NEWVA) Player of the Year, leads the conference with 11.18 assists per set heading into the national quarterfinals. She also averages 2.50 digs. With Feiger as the catalyst, the Jumbos are ranked among the top 20 nationally for Division III in kills per set. They currently have a 13.23 average.

Feiger was the first-ever player from Tufts and first setter to be named NESCAC Player of the Year. She was named the Most Valuable Player in two of the three tournaments the Jumbos participated in this season, the Tufts Invitational on Oct. 2-3 and the Hall of Fame Invitational on Oct. 23-24. She also earned All-NESCAC First Team honors for the second consecutive year this season.

Tufts takes on Hope on Thursday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in University Heights, Ohio.
