NEW ORLEANS - Middleburys Terry Aldrich was named the womens USTFCCCA Division III Cross Country Coach of the Year following the NCAA Division III Cross Country National Championships. Aldrich led his Panthers to their fifth NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship with a convincing victory at Hanover College. Middlebury finished with 179 team points, 50-points better than the runner-up.

HADLEY, Mass. - Middlebury won its fifth NCAA Womens Cross Country Championship over the weekend at Hanover College in Hanover, Ind. The Panthers placed first with a 179-point showing, 59 points ahead of second-place Calvin (237). Williams came in third with 240 points. Hamilton junior Peter Kosgei (Kapsabet, Kenya) took the mens individual title at the 2008 NCAA Mens Cross Country Championship. Kosgei, the two-time NESCAC Most Outstanding Performer, won his first national crown as he completed the 8-kilometer race in a course-record-setting time of 24:22.03.
HANOVER, Ind. Hamiltons Peter Kosgei was named the mens USTFCCCA Division III Cross Country Athlete of the Year following his individual championship performance on Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Championships in Hanover, Ind. Kosgei, last years championship runner-up, won the meet by over ten seconds becoming the first mens national cross country champion in Hamilton history.

November 20, 2008 Three NESCAC Runners Selected by USTFCCCA as Athletes of the Year
NEW ORLEANS, La. - Hamilton junior Peter Kosgei (Kapsabet, Kenya), Williams junior Edgar Kosgey (Eldoret Rift Valley, Kenya), and Amherst senior Elise Tropiano (Plainview, N.Y.) have been selected by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as Athletes of the Year. Kosgei was chosen as the Atlantic Region Athlete of the Year, while Kosgey and Tropiano were named New England Region Athletes of the Year.
