HADLEY, Mass. The Williams College mens cross country team finished second at the 2009 NCAA Mens Cross Country Championship hosted by Baldwin-Wallace on Saturday, Nov. 21. The Ephs came in second to North Central (50 points) with a score of 181. On the Women's side, Middlebury College came in fourth at the 2009 NCAA Womens Cross Country Championship. The Panthers finished the meet with 245 points, as Wis.-Eau Claire claimed its first NCAA title with a score of 171.

Williams Men Finish Second, Middlebury Women Fourth at NCAA Cross Country Championships
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Williams College men's cross country team finished second with 181 points, while the Middlebury women's cross country team claimed fourth with a score of 245 at the 2009 NCAA Cross Country Championships hosted by Baldwin-Wallace at the Highland Park Golf Course.

Six Cross Country Runners Earn All-America Honors from USTFCCCA
CLEVELAND, Ohio Six cross country runners from the NESCAC garnered All-America recognition from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the completion of the 2009 NCAA Cross Country Championships hosted by Baldwin-Wallace at the Highland Park Golf Course on Saturday. The top 35 finishers in the men's and women's races earn All-America honors.

HADLEY, Mass. Williams senior Edgar Kosgey (Eldoret River Valley, Kenya) was selected as the Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week, while Wesleyan senior Ravenna Neville (Westfield, N.J.) earned Women's Cross Country Performer of the Week for Nov. 16, 2009. Kosgey narroly won the NCAA New England Region Championship over Amehrsts Daniel Murner, as both runners were timed in 25:16. Neville was the top NESCAC runner at the NCAA New England Regional Championship this past Saturday at Southern Maine, finishing second overall with a time of 21:39.

Williams Men Win, Middlebury Women Tie for NCAA Cross Country Regional Title
CUMBERLAND, Maine - For the second consecutive year, senior Edgar Kosgey (Eldoret River Valley, Kenya) of the Williams men's cross country team crossed the finish line first at the NCAA New England Regional Championship, leading the Ephs to their second straight automatic berth into the NCAA National Championship race. On the women's side, Middlebury and MIT tied for the team title.
